Can I get my HAZMAT if I have a felony?

Ah, good question! Can you get a HAZMAT Endorsement if you have a felony? The question is yes, but don't get too excited just yet. You have to make sure that your felony is only considered a temporary disqualifying felony because there are some felonies that they will never forgive. To make sure you only have a temporary disqualifying felony you can visit: Felonies and HAZMAT.

Once you know that your felony is a temporary disqualifying felony for HAZMAT background checks then you need to make sure its at least 7 years old. If you exponged your felony then you are more than welcome to apply. If you are border line, most likely no one will be able to give you a straight answer and your best option is to apply. If they deny you, you simply wait till your 7 years are up (or 5 years out of jail) and they wont take your license away either. Some people believe that they will take their CDL License if they take the HAZMAT background check but this is not true! You get to keep you normal class A License (or B Class) but you wont be able to get HAZMAT till you are approved!

How To Get My HAZMAT Endoresment

Many people are left bewildered by the lack of knowledge that the DMV employees have in regards to helping them get their Hazardous Material endorsement for the Commercial License. The process is simple and shouldn't take anymore than 10 minutes of someones time.

The federal government created a program that states can join to make the process easier, but some states have their own so they make it harder for someone to get the right facts online. Today however, there is one simple site that can help everyone looking for their HAZMAT endorsement. www.vocationalzoom.com utilizes the government program to help people obtain their CDL HAZMAT Endorsement in the quickest way possible.

Step 1: Fill out the application

Step 2: Pay all TSA fees

Step 3: Get your appointment via mail or email

Step 4: Attend your appointment within 48 hours and wait for your approval!

Its that simple and most of it can be done from the seat of your computer desk! If you have any questions Vocational Zoom can also help you with that and much more!
